For Sale – 2007/08 large black Intense 6.6 VPP mountain bike – so 6.6 inches of travel in the rear. I put a little snippet about the bike on the bottom of the page. The frame is hand made in Temecula, California. If you know anything about the Intense brand you will know that they are known for some of the highest quality and expensive bikes out today.

Race Face Atlas 175mm cranks with E-Thirteen DRS Chain Retention System (bash guard – w/ zero scuffs.) with 26t – 36t rings – I had to cut the bash guard a little to make it fit on the bike. The bike will come with Race Face 22t,32t and 44t rings for a normal (3-ring) set up – also included is a XTR rear derailleur.

So as you can tell the bike has some very nice stuff on it – the drive train has maybe 3 rides on it including the chain…. The frame is in great condition with the normal scratches but has no dents – I am around 5′ 11″ and weigh 185 and it fit me perfect – I think that it could fit anyone from 5′ 9″ to 6′ 1″ depending on how your body is proportioned. The front fork has very low miles with the normal scratches none on the sliders. All in all this bike is ready for anything from normal cross country to full freeride. It climbs awesome and descends even better. It weighs in around 32 lbs. I priced how much this bike would cost new and it’s above the six grand mark – since the parts range in age from 2007 to current it is hard to measure.

The 6.6 is based on the same VPP platform utilized by the Spider XVP, Intense 5.5, the Uzzi VPX, and the M3. The incredible strong and light Intense/Easton hydroformed tubing, the 6 Point 6 frameset weighs in at less than 8 lbs. Additionally, the 6 Point 6 is fitted with a 1.5″ head tube, which means to that Intense meant to create an all-round freeride / all mountain bike similar to compete with the Santa Cruz Nomad.The torque-sensitive VPP system balances the downward movement of the rider with an equal and opposing upward force on the frame. This leaves the suspension neutral and able to comply with both bumps and depressions while eliminating power loss. The VPP system can maintain efficient pedaling through a large portion of the travel providing excellent acceleration even with sag. This makes the suspension more compliant and conserves rolling momentum better than a topped-out or over damped set up.
