You are bidding on a used large anodized black Santa Cruz Nomad. The bushings have recently been replaced by an authorized Santa Cruz mechanic and only have about 10 hours of ride time. This bike is fully customized with premium components. The most impressive being the Cane Creek Double Barrel shock. The CCDB shock is the most tunable and best performing shock on the market. The “oil dampening” technology eliminates the common failures associated with “air shocks”. If you are not familiar with the CCDB I highly suggest checking it out at www.canecreek.com. The other little goody on this bike is the Marzocchi 55 ATA. This fork is adjustable from 125mm to 165mm, has a 20mm thru axle, 35 mm nickel plated stanchion tubes and was recently overhauled by Marzocchi with only about 10 hours of ride time. Outfitted with a brand new MRP SB-3 Party Crasher chainguide, Mavic 819/823 wheels, Chris King headset and many other premium components, this bike is ready to bomb, huck and jump anywhere you want it. It’s even ready to climb if you desire. This bike was my primary cross country bike in the north Georgia mountains for the past two years. The newly installed chainguide required me to remove the front derailleur so that I could enjoy my local freeride park. However, if you are the winning bidder and you request, I will throw in the Shimano LX front derailleur/shifter/chain ring and I will include a race face 110mm stem. And Presto, you are now riding one kick ass cross country bike. The VPP suspension has magically eliminated “peddle bomb” associated with many full suspension bikes and delivers a very stable pedaling platform. The whopping 6.5″ of travel is only there when you want it, but believe me, you will looking for reasons to use it. This is one of the most plush bikes I have ever ridden. And most expensive. The retail value of this build is well over $6000. There is no doubt you can purchase a brand new Nomad for $3500-$4000, but there is no way you can get one with these many upgrades at that cost. Hey Folks here is one awesome machine. It is a 2006 Nomad. We are second owner. First owner rode it twice then it sat in his living room. We bought it from him Oct. 2008. My daughter plays club soccer so she has ridden it 6 days since she bought it. Bike is in awesome condition. Tires are like new. Frame is a small and color is steel blue. Bars are race face. Stem is Thompson no rise. We also have the original race face stem looks like a long one with about a 10 degree rise. Brakes are Juicy sevens. Head set is Cane Creek. Seat post is a Thompson sporting a WTB saddle. Wheels are mavic 321 with DT Swiss 340s hubs. Tires are Kenda Nevegals. Derailers and cranks are XT. Fork is a Talas 36. Shock is Fox DHX air. Bike came with plastic flat pedals. I can throw on a pair of blue or silver Crank Brother Mallets that are 2 years old. . This bike retails for $5,200. We did a pro tune on it race ready when we bought it by like I said before it was ridden twice. She has outgrown the size in a year. I will box it and ship it as well.
