I got this bike to use with my hammerschmidt, but it turns out to be too much bike for relatively flat central Kentucky. I’ve only used it for xc trail riding and just don’t find myself using enough to justify keeping (1×9 29er does a lot better in these parts.) This thing wants to see some mountains and fun trails instead of the same boring view of my living room! If you are looking at this odds are you know about this frame and it’s reputation, it’ll handle whatever you can throw at it and laugh as it asks for more. Original price for frame was $1700+, get it here for pennies on the dollar.For those that don’t know, Transition describes their frame as: “The BottleRocket was designed as an answer to a new progression in

Boxed Versus Weapon-X Downhill Frame
This is a practically indestructible frame built for nothing but the most technical of downhill riding.
Every frame is brand new in boxes, with one minor modification that was not available in the production models which allows for heavier rigidity of the frame and smoother movement of travel. I will personally be replacing the links and ensuring that they are switched out. These frames do not include the shocks needed for it and will require the purchase of an 8.75” x 2.75” shock.
There is also a floating brake adapter available to remove brake jack while braking and hitting bumps simultaneously. The floating brake adapter also includes the versus hub. This item will be made available for $100.
Frame has:
- 15.5″ seat tube height
- 9 inches of travel
- Needle bearings on pivots
- Swapped out box-link to allow for heavier rigidity and smoother suspension movement
- 1-1/8” Integrated headtube with headset included

2001 Kona Roast Out of Bounds This is my used Mountian Bike. I bought it new and have gotten alot of use out of if. I am a heavier guy, (250 lbs) and this bike has hauled me around great. I recently had a local bike shop tune it up for me a couple months ago. It has been ridden around town for about an hour since the tune up. I don’t ride this bike much any more and it just sits in my garage. In the tune up the fork seals were replace. All the cables. The tires were replaced with The Maxxis Tires you see in the pics. Heavy duty down hill tubes. The new Serfas seat, and locking grips. This bike came with alot goodies. I have left it all stock except for what was just mentioned above.
